  • Sheepshead Bay takes nat’l rec in shuttle hurdles

    Holy crap. I think anyone with an inkling of knowledge about track understands the magnitude of this feat. 28.93? Divide that by four, and that's an approximation of their individual splits. What is that, around 7.2? 7.2 .... Half of our "sprint team" can't even run that for a 55 WITHOUT hurdles. To even think that they've clocked faster during practice is just unimaginable. I remember watching their 4x100m relay team run at Icahn last year. It was such an honor. They were known as the "superman" team because of their SICK jerseys. Gosh, my idols. I cannot wait to see them run again this year at NY Relays. 7.2 55HH, what the freak... I can't even imagine that. Con-freaking-grats.

  • So, the teams been looking quite promising. There definitely is a lot of potential, which is always good. Hopefully we'll all perform up to it. Contrary to what I felt a few months ago, I actually wouldn't mind having friends come down and support the team during a meet. I think I'll be good enough so that I won't feel ashamed to perform in front of my friends. . . Meh, we'll see. In the mean time, holy crap. Feast thou eyes on these:


    It's less than 3oz! The average spike is around 6-9.0 ... Wow. It looks sooo sleak and aerodynamic. Wow, kudos to Nike. I cannot wait until this hits the market.

    Great buy? I think so.

    I got my first 50/50 on a Tria FRQ today. It was quite surprising since I really didn't think I had written that spectacular of an essay. I feel like Ms. Tria is quite biased when she grades. . . impressed with our class when compared to period 4, she usually grades more leniently yet with greater expectations. Yet on the last DBQ I wrote, I got a 48/50. . . apparently she took one point off for my atrocious handwriting (which is reasonable i guess. . .) and another for it being too long. . . and possibly too detailed as it was hinted by her red pen (and all this time i'd thought size mattered. . .*giggle?). Although it really was a lengthy  five + pages, I'm still kinda p.o'ed by this flagrant call. . . Whatever, I'm just happy that I'm generally doing better than just 'surviving' in her class :). Significantly one of the harder classes, I actually see improvements and time well invested in the many hours of studying. . . unlike physics where I'm just a complete idiot in. To balance my accomplishment, I got another C on the test. Ironically, my average still went up because my test average was atrocious - and still is. . . but yeah, you can just imagine my last test grade. . . =.="


    Note to all future Tria kiddies: include women no matter what the topic is on. You'll get extra brownie points from her being the super almighty feminist.
